Race 1 – LADBROKES RACING EXTRAS IN MULTI GRADE 6 (1) 520m

Race 2 – GARRARD'S HORSE AND HOUND GRADE 6 (2) 520m

 

Farmer Fox – after being retrieved from its kennel to leave the course, following Race 6, the trainer observed that the greyhound was unwell. The greyhound was presented to the on-course veterinarian, where an examination revealed abdominal distension. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.

 

Race 3 – LADBROKES POPULAR SRM GRADE 5 710m

Race 4 – ROSEWOOD VETERINARY SERVICE OPEN 710m

 

Soiree – was a beaten favourite. From its wide draw, Soiree raced wide rounding the turn out of the back straight on the first occasion. Throughout the event, Soiree was unable to obtain clear running and was hampered on several occasions, however it still finished strongly.

 

Race 5 – BOX 1 PHOTOGRAPHY GRADE 5 (1) 520m

Race 8 – LADBROKES ODDS SURGE 4/5 GRADE FINAL MIXED 4/5 600m

 

Validate – severely checked on the turn entering the front straight on the first occasion after Canya Nuclear, from its inside running line, collided with severely runners causing significant interference. Validate trailed the runners for the remainder of the event. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any apparent abnormalities.
