Crystal Days – severely tightened for room approaching the turn out of the front straight, collided with the running rail and then fell taking no further competitive part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any apparent abnormality.
Due to Crystal Days falling and then adjusting course when in the back straight the Steward-In-Charge instructed the Lure Driver to complete the Event as a finish-on-lure in the catching pen to safeguard animal welfare. |

Huff And Puff – slow to begin. Laid out on Clean Engines when taking the first turn awkwardly causing both greyhounds to lose ground. Gave ground when leaving the back straight and then checked off the heels of Clean Engines resulting in Huff And Puff to lose considerable ground and finish tailed off. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the nearside hind calf with a 14 day stand down period imposed. |
