Race 1 – ROSEWOOD VETERINARY SERVICE GRADE 6 (1) C2 520m

No apparent reportable incidents.

Race 2 – GARRARD'S HORSE AND HOUND GRADE 6 (2) C2 520m

No Reigns – tightened for room and checked when rounding the turn out of the back straight and lost ground before being clipped on the heels by another runner and losing further ground. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any apparent abnormalities.

Ouch My Finger – a post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to a nearside fore toe. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Race 3 – BOX 1 PHOTOGRAPHY NMW C2 520m

Goldstar Max – a post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any apparent abnormalities. Stewards questioned trainer Riley Evans regarding the racing manners of Goldstar Max on the turn out of the front straight. After considering all available evidence, including racing vision and their own observations, the stewards imposed the provisions of GAR 123 and 127 for Marring (3rd Offence), with the stewards determining Goldstar Max had turned its head outwards and made head and muzzle contact with another greyhound. Goldstar Max is now stood down from racing at all tracks for 3 months and must complete two satisfactory trials prior to nominating again.

Miss Darkside – collided with another runner when rounding the turn towards the back straight, was severely checked and then fell taking no further part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to offside shoulder.  A 90 day stand down period was imposed.

Due to Miss Darkside falling, and in the best interests of both the greyhound and on-track staff, the Steward-In-Charge ordered the lure driver to complete the Event as a finish-on lure into the catching pen.
