General:  Trainer A.Bock was issued a reprimand in respect of a charge issued pursuant to GAR 86(1) for failing to kennel his greyhound Federal Emeran prior to kennel closing time.

 

Race 1 – ENGINEERING BY STP CONSULTANTS MAIDEN (1) 520m

 

5 High Court Judge – Made contact with the rail entering the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

 

Race 2 – BOX 1 PHOTOGRAPHY MAIDEN (2) 520m

 

3 Fast Mustang – Checked rounding the first turn and commenced to give ground entering the turn off the back straight appearing injured.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the offside forelimb and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 7 days.

 

4 Trigger Point – Checked and became unbalanced through the first turn.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

 

6 Jungle Girl – Commenced to give ground leaving the first turn and tailed the field for the remainder of the event.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the offside forelimb and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days.

No apparent reportable incidents.

 

Race 4 – ROSEWOOD VETERINARY SERVICE GRADE 5 (1) 520m

 

No apparent reportable incidents.

 

Race 5 – LADBROKES RACING EXTRAS IN MULTI 0-3 WINS 600m

 

No apparent reportable incidents.

 

Race 6 – THE LIDS FLY HOSTED POTS MIXED 5/6 600m

Race 8 – ROSEWOOD VETERINARY SERVICE 5TH GRADE FINAL GRADE 5 520m

Race 9 – INDEPENDENT LIQUOR GROUP GRADE 5 (2) 520m

 

2 Jack Is Back – Checked on numerous occasions entering the first turn.  Checked and became unbalanced leaving the turn off the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

 

6 Balance The Till – Checked entering the first turn. Heavily checked and became unbalanced through the back turn.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

 

9 Chica Rapida – Checked in the front straight. Turned its head to the runner on its outside and made muzzle contact through the first turn and leaving the turn off the back straight.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.  Steward’s spoke to trainer representative D.Thomas regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR 123 Marring – 28 days stand down at Q2 Parklands and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

 

Race 10 – LADBROKES FAST PAYOUTS GRADE 5 (3) 520m

 

No apparent reportable incidents.

 

Race 11 – WWW.THEQ.AU MA5 520m

 

5 Betty Rose - Late scratching at 2:37pm pursuant to GAR 76(2) with stewards’ permission.

 

7 Federal Emeran – Faltered in its action entering the first turn and commenced to give ground appearing injured.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the offside forelimb and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days.

 

Race 12 – IPSWICH TRIBUNE 5PW 520m

 

8 Scarborough Pest – Took an awkward stride in the home straight.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the nearside forelimb and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 5 days.

Stewards spoke to trainer B.McCarthy regarding the incident. After considering all available evidence, the greyhound was given the benefit of the doubt if it had contravened any rule.
