3 Canya Ebony – Shortly after the start was checked. Gave ground throughout the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the nearside pin. Under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was subsequently stood down from racing for 14 days. Stewards spoke to trainer M Edwards regarding the greyhound’s performance. Mr Edwards stated he intends to retire the greyhound.

 

Race 6 – LADBROKES POPULAR SRM MA5 (1) 520m

 

8 Oxley Charm – Through the first turn was severely checked. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the nearside shoulder. Under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was subsequently stood down from racing for 7 days.

 

9 Don’t Damn Me – Through the first turn was severely checked. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant injury.
