2. Oliver Stubby – Rounding the home turn turned its head outwards to the runner on its outside momentarily easing. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to its offside hock. A 14 day stand down was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer D Sloan regarding the greyhound’s racing actions for that stage of the event After hearing the steward’s observation, reviewing the video replay, and hearing submissions from Mr Sloan, stewards deemed Oliver Stubby to be in breach of GAR 125 Failing to Pursue by reason of injury. Oliver Stubby was stood down from racing for 14 days and until the successful completion of a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next. |
