2. Oliver Stubby – Rounding the home turn turned its head outwards to the runner on its outside momentarily easing. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to its offside hock. A 14 day stand down was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer D Sloan regarding the greyhound’s racing actions for that stage of the event After hearing the steward’s observation, reviewing the video replay, and hearing submissions from Mr Sloan, stewards deemed Oliver Stubby to be in breach of GAR 125 Failing to Pursue by reason of injury. Oliver Stubby was stood down from racing for 14 days and until the successful completion of a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

 

3. Hara’s Loki – A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to its offside hind foot. A 7 day stand down was imposed.

7. Bentley Ada – Into the 1st turn was severely checked falling as a result. A post-race examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

 

 

 

Race 7 – PUBLICANS CUP HEAT 3 GRADE 5 C2 520m

 

1. Born To Race – Through the 1st turn was severely checked. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

 

 

 

Race 8 – ENGINEERING BY STP CONSULTANTS OPEN C2 600m

 

5. Beast Royale – Through the turn of the home straight faltered in its action, a short distance later pulled up failing to finish the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to its offside back muscle. A 60 day stand down was imposed and the greyhound must successfully complete a steward’s trial prior to racing next.
