Race 1 – ENGINEERING BY STP CONSULTANTS GRADE 6 C2 520m

All runners, except for Bionic Cyndie, were checked to varying degrees when entering the turn out of the front straight, with runners losing ground as a result.

Race 2 – THE LIDS FLY HOSTED POTS MA5 (1) C2 520m

No apparent reportable incidents.

Race 3 – BOX 1 PHOTOGRAPHY MA5 (2) C2 520m

Federal Emeran – severely checked on the first turn and almost fell, losing considerable ground. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities.

Jumping Jive - severely checked on the first turn and fell, losing considerable ground. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities.

Cash Handy – was galloped on the heels on the first turn and lost considerable ground. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities.

Race 4 – LADBROKES POPULAR SRM OPEN C2 710m

Race 5 – ENGINEERING BY STP CONSULTANTS MIXED 5/6 C2 710m

No apparent reportable incidents.

Race 6 – LADBROKES RACING EXTRAS IN MULTI GRADE 5 (1) C2 520m

Race 7 – ROSEWOOD VETERINARY SERVICE FFA C2 520m

No apparent reportable incidents.

Race 8 – THE GOLDEN CHASE (G3) FINAL OPEN C2 520m

Hara’s Oden – finished tailed off. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the offside pin muscle with a 14 day stand down period imposed.

Stewards questioned trainer Justin Bowe regarding the registration status of the person who handled Terra Bella after the event. After considering the available evidence, including Mr Bowe’s frank and honest admissions and his evidence that he was unaware the person’s registration had lapsed and had not been renewed, Stewards found Mr Bowe guilty of an offence under GAR 180(2)(b) for permitting an unregistered person to handle a greyhound on a racecourse. Stewards imposed a fine of $200, which was wholly suspended for 12 months on the condition that Mr Bowe does not commit any further breach of the same or a similar rule during that period.

Race 9 – GARRARD'S HORSE AND HOUND MIXED 4/5 C2 520m

Howdy Elise – checked on the home turn and lost ground. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any apparent abnormalities. Stewards questioned representative Warren Elson regarding the racing manners of Howdy Elise on the home turn. After considering all available evidence, the stewards invoked GAR 124 Failing to pursue (1^st Offence), with Howdy Elise suspended from racing at Q2 Parklands for 28 days and must complete a satisfactory trial prior to nominating.

Race 10 – GORSKI HARDOX TOUGH TIPPERS GRADE 5 C2 520m

Hara’s Otis – a post-race veterinary examination revealed a laceration to the head. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Sampson – a post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities Stewards questioned trainer Peter O’Reilly regarding Sampson’s racing manners on the home turn. After considering all available evidence, stewards invoked GAR 124 Failing to pursue (1^st Offence), with Sampson suspended from racing at Q2 Parklands for 28 days and must complete a satisfactory trial prior to nominating.

Race 11 – LADBROKES PUNTER ASSIST GRADE 5 (2) C2 520m
