Race 1 –CONGRATULATIONS CAPALABA | MAIDEN | 407 Metres
RICHO’S MISS and LONG SHOTS bumped at the start,
Entering the back straight ICY RED checked severely and lost ground after shifting outwards and bumping with MARYBURRA MARVEL.
Leaving the back straight MARYBURRA MARVEL run into the back of MAUI BEACH.
ICY RED was sent to the veterinary surgeon to be examined with no abnormalities found.
Race 2 –THE CHASE MAGAZINE | NOVICE | 407 Metres
GIRLS ON FIRE and STILTED CHATTER were both slow to begin.
MASTER CARD checked off the back of GIRLS ON FIRE in the back straight.
They bumped again on two occasions coming around the home turn.
Race 3 –WENDY MULRY TRAVEL | Mixed 4th/5thGRADE | 510 Metres
The start of the race was delayed by 5 minutes due to a bank of 6 light poles losing power.
Power was restored then the race could start.
HACIENDA was slow into stride.
BOSSY MISS BELLA and RED JAMIE bumped going around the first turn.
TRIP DANCER bumped heavily with BOSSY MISS BELLA entering the back straight.
Race 4 –ACCELL THERAPY | Mixed 3rd/4thGRADE | 407 Metres
BILLY CONGO and OPPORTUNITY SIX bumped at the start.
BOKARM LEO and COPYIST were both slow into stride.
Race 5 –SANDAL WELDING | 4thGRADE | 407 Metres
IRISH SPICE and BONITTO were both slow to begin.
Going around the first turn LINRICK was checked by BONITTO when it shifted in.
LINRICK then raced extremely wide for the remainder.
DREAM BIGGER was sent to the veterinary surgeon to be examined with no abnormalities found.
Race 6 –GARRARDS HORSE AND HOUND | 5thGRADE | 407 Metres
Start of the race was delayed by 5 minutes due to a bank of 6 light poles losing power.
Power was restored then the race could start.
DENEHOLME DASHER was slow to begin.
VINCERO and FANTASIA LEE bumped going around the first turn.
VINCERO checked off the back of LEXUS BANNER in the back straight.
DENEHOLME DASHER was sent to the veterinary surgeon to be examined with no abnormalities found.
Race 7 –DINKY DI WEBB | 5thGRADE | 407 Metres
ALL MIGHT, FIVE FORTY and VELOCITY KYINKA all squeezed together at the start.
Entering the back straight FIVE FORTY shifted outwards and became entangled with ALL MIGHT resulting in both greyhounds taking a heavy fall. FIVE FORTY finished the race well back and ALL MIGHT failed to finish the race.
BETTA BE BUNDY and VELOCITY KYINKA who were racing on the outside at the time were hampered by the fallen greyhounds.
FIVE FORTY was sent to the veterinary surgeon to be examined with no abnormalities found.
ALL MIGHT underwent a veterinary examination and was found to have suffered a severe break high up in the near fore leg and was subsequently euthanized on humane grounds.
Race 8 –ROCKY WEED AND FEED | Best 8 | 407 Metres
RIFF was slow to begin.
PROSPECT was checked by FAWN ERUPTOR going around the first bend.
DAZZLER HANGER and MON MANY BEACH bumped coming around the home turn.
Race 9 –ROCKHAMPTON NEWSEXPRESS | 5thGRADE | 407 Metres
CHANDON HAWKE and ESOTERIC bumped at the start.
Going around the first corner PARTIAL DEFENCE lost considerable ground after being squeezed between
MISS WILDWEST and ZAMBORA CAITLYN.
