General:

 

Zipping Horace, was suspected to have a broken right hind hock when competing in an earlier Stewards Trial. The greyhound was given immediate pain relief and the leg was strapped. Trainer Clinton Thompson advised he would take the greyhound to his veterinary surgeon in the morning for further treatment.

Race 1 - HAPPY BIRTHDAY MICAELA KUHN MAIDEN   407m

 

1 Goody Goody Yum, approaching the first turn shifted out and checked other runners.  

 

2 Jagerbar, slow away.

 

3 Pressure, extremely slow to begin and raced wide throughout.

 

4 One Rose, was checked and lost ground approaching the first turn.

 

5 Tarawi Opal, was checked entering the back straight.  

 

6 Soft Steel, was checked heavily and lost considerable ground entering the back straight. Finished the race well and was sent for a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured neck as a result was stood down from racing for 10 days.

 

 

Race 2 - NEVILLE JACKSON APPRECIATION NOVICE   407m

 

2 Shakey Country, slow to begin.

 

4 Jet's Image, slow to begin and was hampered going around the first turn, then checked out off heels coming around the home turn.

 

6 Wilby Royalty, slow to begin and checked and lost ground going around the first turn.

 

8 Paddy Harks, slow to begin.

 

 

Race 3 - MARK BUBE APPRECIATION MA5   407m

 

1 Special Speed, was checked coming around the home turn and shifted out wide.

 

2 Won't Win Larson, slow to begin.

 

3 Wildash Macie, checked and lost ground in the back straight.

 

5 Wildash Dancer, checked and lost ground in the back straight.

 

6 Kinate, slow to begin and finished the race well back. Was sent for a post race veterinary examination and was found to have lost a toe nail on the right hind foot and as a result was stood down from racing for 7 days.

 

7 Electron Kev, checked and lost ground in the back straight.

 

8 Slingshot Prince, slow to begin.

 

 

Race 4 - JUDY BUBE APPRECIATION GRADE 4   407m

 

1 Velocity Kayla, was checked and lost ground going around the first turn.

 

6 Zipping Gibson, raced wide throughout.

 

8 Pacific Bug, raced wide throughout.

 

 

Race 5 - JORDAN TAYLOR APPRECIATION GRADE 5 (1)   407m

 

2 Come On Kenny, entering the home straight slowed and shifted out towards another runner. Was sent for a post race veterinary examination and no abnormalities were found. Trainer representative Brodie Burgess was advised Come On Kenny was stood down from racing for 28 days for Failing To Pursue the lure with due commitment and must also pass a satisfactory trial before racing again.

 

6 Hidden Ripple, slow to begin and lost ground in the back straight, finished the race well back and was sent for a post race veterinary examination and was found to have a muscle strain on the right leg and as a result was stood down from racing for 10 days.

 

7 Just Law, lost ground in the back straight.

 

8 Go Again Bear, slow to begin.

 

Race 6 - PETER PAYNE APPRECIATION GRADE 5 (2)   407m

 

3 Queen Norma, slow into stride and checked and lost ground in the back straight.

 

5 Sienna's Ace, checked and lost ground entering the back straight.

 

6 Black Magic Ryno, slow to begin.

 

8 Erratic George, raced wide throughout.

 

 

Race 7 - GRACEMERE VETS APPRECIATION GRADE 5   510m

 

2 Willem Powerfish, extremely slow to begin and raced wide throughout.

 

6 Unique Speed, slow to begin.

 

8 Zambora Chief, raced wide throughout.

 

 

Race 8 - GARY MORE APPRECIATION MIXED 3/4   407m

 

 

6 Wink At Me, lost ground in the back straight.

 

7 Loco Dinero, was checked and lost ground going around the first turn. Finished the race well back and was sent for a post race veterinary examination and no abnormalities were found.

 

8 Noise Works, checked and lost ground going around the first turn.

 

 

Race 9 - LEONIE GILLETT APPRECIATION GRADE 5 (3)   407m

 

2 County Mist, checked and lost ground going around the first turn.

 

3 Mad Morgan, extremely slow to begin.

 

5 Blazing Brothers, checked and lost ground approaching the home turn.

 

7 Wenatchee, lost ground in the back straight.

 

 

Race 10 - SCOTT GILLETT APPRECIATION 5PW   407m

 

3 Aston Caruso, commenced to drop out approaching the home turn and finished the race well back, was sent for a post race veterinary examination and no abnormalities. Trainer Andrew Suli was advised Aston Caruso was barred from racing until it passes a satisfactory Stewards Trial.

 

4 Disney Cool, checked off heels leaving the back straight.

 

7 Hearts Thunder, slow to begin.

 

8 What An Outcome, slow to begin and checked and lost ground going around the first turn.
