Trainer D Beckett advised that Sweet Valentine, which had performed below expectations at its two most recent starts, had an underlying issue with planter warts, which have been treated and consequently the greyhound was scratched from this evenings meeting.

 

 

Race 1 - SKY RACING MAIDEN 407m

 

Sipping Whiskey – Appeared to falter in its action racing off the back straight and lost considerable ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a minor strain to the left wrist and a 5 day stand down was issued.

 

Race 2 - GARRARD'S HORSE AND HOUND NOVICE 407m

 

Legal Result – Severely checked around the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

 

Race 3 - TAB MIXED 4/5 407m

 

No matters of concern to stewards.

 

Race 4 - GREYHOUNDS MAKE GREAT PETS GRADE 4 (1) 407m

 

Sweet Zandra – (Beaten favourite 6th) Checked around the first turn. Forced wide in the back straight.

 

Race 5 - DINKY DI WEB DESIGN GRADE 4 (2) 407m

 

Grand Riku - A post-race veterinary examination revealed a sprained right wrist and a sprained right hock, and a 14 day stand down was issued.

 

Race 6 - DIPLOCK'S COLLISION REPAIR CENTRE 0-4 WINS 510m

 

Blue Raptor – Checked from behind racing around the first turn. Checked racing off the back straight. Checked rounding the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed strains to both hamstrings and a 10 day stand down was issued.

 

Stomp – Appeared to falter soon after the start and then trailed the field. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. After interviewing trainer J Thompson and considering the performance of the greyhound stewards deemed the performance to be unsatisfactory under GAR129(a) and Stomp has been stood down from racing until the completion of a satisfactory trial.

 

Race 7 - NEWSXPRESS RICHARDSON ROAD BEST 8 407m

Race 8 - WENDY MULRY TRAVEL 5TH GRADE FINAL GRADE 5 407m

Our Kite Flyer – (Beaten favourite 6th) Checked racing into the first turn. Checked racing in the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

 

Race 10 - SKY RACING GRADE 5 (2) 407m

Race 11 - GARRARD'S HORSE AND HOUND 5PW 407m

 

Miss San Cisco – Checked around the first turn. Faltered noticeably in the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a strained hip support muscle and a 14 day stand down was issued.
