Rosa’s Rocks – A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards inquired into the greyhounds actions in the home straight and in particular the outward movement towards Smoke Stack. After viewing the available replays, hearing submissions from trainer J Thompson and considering their own observations stewards established that after shifting wider entering the home straight that Rosa’s Rocks raced close to Smoke Stack and bumped with that runner on a number of occasions, however there was no evidence of head movement from Rosa’s Rocks. On this basis stewards could not be satisfied to the required standard that any actions of Rosa’s Rocks constituted a breach of the rules and no action was taken. |
