General:

Prior to the running of race 3, QRIC stewards were notified that a greyhound was lose in the race 8 kennel bay. Stewards identified the greyhound to be Aston Cherokee and the trainer was notified. The greyhound was checked and placed back into its appropriate kennel and the security tags replaced.

Race 1 - DINKY DI WEB DESIGN MAIDEN 407m

3. Paraguay Queen – Stewards inquired into the racing manners of Paraguay Queen in the home straight. When the greyhound deviated it’s attention away from the lure to the runner on its outside. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

Stewards spoke to trainer Amber Boody regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in in the front straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124(1) failing to pursue the lure with due commitment the greyhound was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 127(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

5. Koolboo Cian – Checked rounding first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

6. Sofiya On Fire – Checked in the back straight and gave ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

8. Dream Queen – Dragged down from behind and fell rounding first turn before regaining footing and finishing of the race. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

Race 2 - GARRARDS HORSE & HOUND GRADE 6 407m

· No matters of concern to stewards.

Race 3 - DYNAMIC ELECTRICAL FFA 407m

8. Play Dirty – Was a late scratching at 3:35pm due to a weight variation pursuant to GAR 101(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days. Trainer R Weeding was given a reprimand pursuant to GAR 101(3)(b).

Race 4 - DYNAMIC REFRIGERATION MIXED 4/5 510m

1. Rockin’ With It – Slow to Begin and almost ran off the track in the front straight on the first occasion before pulling up in the back straight and failed to complete the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards spoke to trainer Gary Cluse regarding the greyhound’s performance in the front straight & pulling up in the back straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124(1) failing to pursue the lure with due commitment the greyhound was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Rockhampton and must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 127(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Race 5 - A2Z DENTAL ROCKHAMPTON 0-4 WINS 510m

3. Velocity Reba – Dragged down rounding first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

Race 6 - PARKHURST QUALITY MEATS 5TH GRADE HEAT 1 GRADE 5 407m

2. Swift Dragon – Shifted wider entering home straight checked with outside runner.

Race 7 - REGGIES PODCAST GRADE 4 (1) 407m

1. Go Go Cambla – Shifted wider colliding with runner and knocked off balance entering home straight. Shifted wider and knocked off balance again in the front straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed right hind bruising & minor lacerations on both fore limbs and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 7days.

Race 8 - BECKETT FAMILY GRADE 4 (2) 407m

· No matters of concern to stewards.

Race 9 - LOVE A GREYHOUND 5TH GRADE HEAT 2 GRADE 5 407m

8. Boulder Beach – Was a late scratching at 4:10pm due to a weight variation pursuant to GAR 101(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days. Trainer K Suli was fined $100.00 pursuant to GAR 101(3)(b).

· No matters of concern to stewards.

Race 10 - SKY RACING 5TH GRADE HEAT 3 GRADE 5 407m

2. Hooked On Dean – Was a late scratching at 4:10pm due to a weight variation pursuant to GAR 101(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days. Trainer J Kuhl was fined $100.00 pursuant to GAR 101(3)(b).
