Stewards invoked the heat policy section 1A supplied ice water and wet towels near the finish line and extended the time dogs stayed in race kennels after their event to roughly 60 minutes. Temperature prior to running of race one was 37.2 degrees using the wet bulb thermomotor. |

3. Paraguay Queen – Entering the front straight shifted wider and deviated attention to another runner on its outside and made muzzle contact. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards spoke to trainer Amber Boody regarding the dog’s actions in the front straight, Acting under the provisions of GAR 123 marring. Stewards found the greyhound guilty and is suspended for 3 months at all tracks and must perform 2 x Satisfactory Trials pursuant to GAR 127, before any future nomination will be accepted. |
