5. Easy Sell – Slow to begin. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the left triceps muscle and under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was stood down from racing for 5 days. Stewards spoke to trainer representative Clinton Thompson regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR125 Failing to pursue with injury the greyhound in the early stages of the home straight deviated its attention away from the lure. Consequently, the greyhound was stood down for 5 days at Rockhampton and until the completion of a satisfactory trial. |
