Race Meeting Stewards’ Report

General:

· QRIC stewards and club representatives inspected track at 10:30am Sunday morning following rain overnight the track was deemed to be suitable for racing and would continue to be monitored throughout the day.

Race 1 – BETDELUXE ROCKHAMPTON MAIDEN 407m

· No matters of concern to stewards.

Race 2 - DOWNLOAD THE BET DELUXE APP GRADE 6 407m

7. Sacha Star – Shortened stride and gave ground entering the second turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Steward’s spoke to trainer representative Clinton Thompson regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR 124 Fail to purse (1st offence) – 28 days stand down at Rockhampton and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

Race 3 – PLACE A SRM WITH BETDELUXE FFA 407m

· No matters of concern to stewards,

Race 4 – BETDELUXE SAME RACE MULTI 0-4 WINS 510m

QRIC Stewards and the veterinarian walked the track prior to the running of race 4 following continued rain and deemed the track as satisfactory for racing

Race 5 – DELUXE YOUR PUNTING GRADE 5 (1) 407m

8. Wonder Stratus – Lost front footing and almost fell on the second turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

Race 6 - YOU'RE ON A WINNER WITH BETDELUXE MIXED 4/5 407m

· No matters of concern to stewards.

Race 7 - BETDELUXE.COM.AU GRADE 4 (1) 407m

1. Slick Ram – Shifted wider in the back straight and checked, losing ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a right wrist injury and under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was stood down from racing for 14 days.

Race 8 - BETDELUXE TOKENS GRADE 4 (2) 407m

· No matters of concern to stewards.

Race 9 - BONUS BACK TOKENS WITH BETDELUXE GRADE 5 (2) 407m

Due to an extremely heavy downfall prior to the running of race 9 QRIC stewards and the QRIC veterinarian walked the track to determine suitability for racing. Stewards decided to push the races back by one timeslot to allow for remedial works in the back straight.

Race 10 – BOOST YOUR ODDS WITH BETDELUXE 5PW 407m

· No matters of concern to stewards.

Race 11 - BETDELUXE APP MA5 407m

3. Kingsbrae Smokey – Tightened and checked soon after the start, forced wider and checked on the first turn and took no further competitive part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed right hind leg injury and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down from racing for 90 days and must complete a veterinary clearance trial prior to racing next.
