7. Yallop Hayze – Checked in the back straight. Deviated its attention away from the lure on multiple occasions in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed nearside hindleg injury and under the provisions GAR41(1) the greyhound was stood down from racing for 10 days. Steward’s spoke to trainer Tracey Trigg regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR 124 Failing to pursue (second offence) – the greyhound was stood down for 28 days at all tracks and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial. |
