2. Mepunga Rocket – Deviated its attention towards outside runner Cosmo Charlie checking that runner soon after the start and then marred Velocity Finito on the first turn. Deviated attention and marred inside runner Farmor Freedom in the front straight. Steward’s spoke to trainer representative Luke Suli regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the first turn and approaching the finish line. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR 123 Marring 3rd offence – 90 days stand down at all tracks and must complete two satisfactory steward’s trials prior to returning to racing. |

A post-race veterinary examination revealed a nearside triceps muscle injury and offside spike wound, and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 7 days. Steward’s spoke to trainer representative Declan Taylor regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR 123 Marring first offence – 28 days stand down at Rockhampton and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to returning to racing.
