General:

 Stewards spoke to starter Mathew Clark reminding him of his obligations as starter to ensure boxes are prepared adequately before the start of each race.

Race 1 – BETDELUXE TOKENS MIXED M/6 407m

 

3. Weed Mat – Severely checked and become unbalanced and fell entering the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a nearside gracilis muscle injury and under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was stood down from racing for 5 days.

 

Race 2 – BETDELUXE MIXED 5/6 510m

 

1. Super Special – Beaten favourite – Dragged down from behind in the back straight. Checked rounding the second turn.

 

Race 3 – BONUS BACK TOKENS WITH BETDELUXE FFA 407m

 

2. Another Megan – Checked with Wyndra All Sass and knocked off balance shortly after the start.

 

Race 4 – BETDELUXE APP MA5 407m

 

No apparent reportable incidents.

 

Race 5 – PLACE A SRM WITH BETDELUXE GRADE 5 407m

 

8. Sweet Nancy – Checked rounding the first turn. Checked of the hind of another runner in the home straight. Shifted inwards and deviated its attention towards outside runner Galaxy Ghost approaching the finishing line. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a nearside gracilis muscle and nearside wrist injury under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was stood down from racing for 7 days.  Steward’s spoke to trainer representative Andrew Suli regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR125 Failing to pursue with injury – The greyhound was stood down for 7 days at Rockhampton and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing.

 

Race 6 – DOWNLOAD THE BET DELUXE APP MIXED 4/5 407m

 

No apparent reportable incidents.

 

Race 7 – BETDELUXE SAME RACE MULTI GRADE 4 407m

 

4. Bonito – Checked rounding the second turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an offside pencil muscle injury and nearside front pad abrasion and under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was stood down from racing for 7 days.
