Race 1 – ANGLISS MEATS TOWNSVILLE MAIDE – 380M
CAPE DE BELLE was a
late scratching at 18.40 on veterinary advice.
SANDOWN SARAH and
COMMANCHE were the best to begin.
SHAKE THE PAINT and
PAINT THE OCEAN were tightened for racing room and lost ground in the back
straight.
WHERE’S DOUG was
tightened for racing room and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.
RAISE YOUR GLASS
shifted out across the hind quarters of MANILA JET on the turn into the front
straight resulting in both greyhounds becoming unbalanced and losing ground.
RAISE YOUR GLASS raced
wide into the front straight.
Race 2 – ADOPT A GREYHOUND NOVICE – 380M
SOUTH PAW CIFIC and
STRONG ENOUGH were the best to begin.
BEST OF BEZA, SAPAELE and KIOWA SHADOW were slow to begin.
BEST OF BEZA checked
off the heels of KIOWA SHADOW and lost ground in the back straight.
EL BAZZA was tightened
for racing room and lost ground approaching the turn out of the back straight.
DON’T TELL MUMMA
improved on to the heels of SOUTH PAW CIFIC after turning out of the back
straight resulting in both greyhounds losing ground.
EL BAZZA shifted out on
the turn into the front straight bumping SILVER WEASEL on to SOUTH PAW CIFIC
resulting in both these greyhounds losing ground.
SOUTH PAW CIFIC and
SAPAELE raced wide in the front straight.
SAPAELE
underwent a post-race veterinarian examination and was found to have a near
front toe injury.
Race 3 – JUST PERFECT KITCHENS 5TH GRADE (1) –
380M
DESTINI TORPEDO was a
late scratching at 19.25 on veterinary advice.
Even start.
SCOTT HOOKED checked
off the heels of RHONDA’S DOUGIE and lost ground on the turn out of the back
straight resulting in interference to WESTMEAD WARRIOR.
RHONDA’S DOUGIE and
SMOKEY WISHES bumped on the turn into the front straight resulting in both
greyhounds becoming unbalanced and losing ground.
SMOKEY WISHES and
MAYWYN OFTEN bumped several times entering the front straight causing both
greyhounds to lose ground.
SMOKEY
WISHES underwent a post-race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries
were found.
Race 4 – FABBRO DIESEL SERVICES 5TH GRADE (2) –
380M
Even start with RHONDA’S
YOGI and LOCHIELLE marginally slow to begin and PROCLAIMER slow to begin.
PROCLAIMER checked off
MAGIC GIZMO and lost ground after turning out of the back straight.
LOCHIELLE
underwent a post-race veterinarian examination and was found to have an off
hind muscle injury.
Race 5 – HICKMOTT’S CARPENTRY MAINTENANCE 4TH
GRADE – 380M
Even
start.
BELLE’S
HAWKE was tightened for racing room and lost ground shortly after the start.
MOE
HEIGHTS was tightened for racing room and lost ground in the back straight.
FLAMING
MOE checked off APPREHENSION on the turn out of the back straight resulting in
both greyhounds becoming unbalanced causing interference to INTENSIFY.
Race 6 – SKINNYS SUPA DELI 5TH GRADE – 498M
Even
start.
WILD
WISH raced wide in the front straight.
Race 7 – SUNNY OLSEN BEST 8 – 380M
The boxes failed to
open on the first occasion. All starters
were checked by the veterinarian and passed fit to start. The start was delayed four minutes.

DALMATYNSKI was
tightened for racing room and lost ground shortly after the start.
WILLY ROCKET checked
off CALL ME DORY and lost round on the turn out of the back straight.
MAYWYN OPALS and CALL
ME DORY bumped entering the front straight.
Race 8 – ALEX FERGUSON FFA – 498M
The race was abandoned
due to a mechanical failure with the lure drive motor which was unable to be
repaired on the night.
Race 9 – LYLE DAVIS 5TH GRADE (3) – 380M

due to a mechanical failure with the lure drive motor which was unable to be
repaired on the night.
