Other Comments / Explanations:

With the exception of Race 1 all 380m races were started manually due to the boxes being unable to be set on automatic.

The 380m boxes lid opening dampening is a problem that requires rectifying prior to racing again.

 

Race 1 – ROBET OLSEN MEMORIAL Heat 1 Maiden, 380M

 

GOMILE was the best to begin.  INDIE’S CHOICE was slow to begin.

YOU’RE SO VAIN and NICMAC BABE bumped in the back straight

BIG LES and INDIE’S CHOICE bumped on the turn out of the back straight resulting in both greyhounds losing ground.

GOMILE shifted out across the heels of RAMBUTAN to race wide into the front straight.

NICMAC BABE shifted out in the front straight bumping heavily into YOU’RE SO VAIN out on to GOMILE.  NICMAC BABE continued to shift out resulting in severe interference to the three greyhounds.

Stewards acting under the provisions of GAR 69A stood NICMAC BABE down from racing for a period of 3 months and the completion of a satisfactory trial (second offence) for failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.

NICMAC BABE - underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

Race 2 – ROBERT OLSEN MEMORIAL Heat 2 Maiden, 380M

Even start.

EXTREMELY HOT was tightened for racing room and lost ground shortly after the start.

RIPPLEBROOK BEN checked off the heels of POLLY’S RAISIN in the back straight.

RIPPLEBROOK BEN checked across the heels of SMELL THE CHEESE on the turn out of the back straight.

 

Race 3 – RYANS PLASTERING MA5, 380M

Even start.

RIMBA SAMBA was tightened for racing room and lost ground shortly after the start.

GOOD PEOPLE was tightened for racing room and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.

Shortly after WOOP WOOP KIT and RIMBA SAMBA were checked and lost ground.

SALUTE THE CLOUD  and WINNIE’S ROSE raced wide in the front straight.

WOOP WOOP KIT - underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 4 – ADOPT A RETIRED RACER Grade 5 (1), 380M

Even start.

BULL DANCE was tightened for racing room and lost ground in the back straight.

 

Race 5 – TAYLOR FAMILY Grade 5 (2), 380M

Even start with RHONDA’S BEAR and HAWKE’S SPECIAL slow to begin

No racing incidents.

 

Race 6 – LAMBERTS FRESH PRODUCE Mixed 4/5, 498M

Even start.

General tightening occurred on the turn into the back straight resulting in WESTMEAD WARRIOR, SPARKLING SHOGUN, SILVER WEASEL and NOVA PARTY all losing ground

CZARNY - underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 7 – LOUNDS FRESH SEAFOODS Best 8, 380M

ROCKIN’ RINGO was the best to begin.  ENJOY THE SHOW was slow to begin.

NOT A WORD checked off KENNA and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight causing interference to SLOW DANCER.

Shortly after ENJOY THE SHOW checked off KENNA and lost ground.

ROCKIN’ RINGO and SHARHELIAN STAR bumped in the front straight resulting in some inconvenience to SHARHELIAN STAR.

 

Race 8 – RQ YOUNG GUNS TSV Open Heat 1, 498M

DUNDEE JIVE was the best to begin.  MR. SUGAR DADDY was slow to begin

SHAKE THE PAINT shifted out across the heels of ARE JAY LOCKIE and lost some ground entering the front straight.

ARE JAY LOCHIE - underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 9 – RQ YOUNG GUNS TSV Open Heat 2, 498M

GOAT was the best to begin.  RIPPLEBROOK TIM was slow to begin.

NICMAC LASS checked across the heels of GOAT and lost ground on the turn into the back straight.

TIN STAR checked off the heels of PAINT THE OCEAN and lost ground entering the back straight.

 

Race 10 – A & A CLADDING Grade 5 (3), 380M

The race was declared a ‘NO RACE’ due to the boxes opening prematurely prior to the lure being put in motion.

 

Race 11 – ANGLISS MEATS TOWNSVILLE Mixed 3 /4, 380M

The start of the race was delayed two minutes due to problems with the starting boxes.

Even start.

CALL ME DORY was tightened for racing room and lost ground approaching the turn out of the back straight.

DOCKIN’ DAVE checked off DREAM AMORE and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight resulting in interference to PASS THE AMMO, BILLY BOJANGLES and OUR STAR.

 

Race 12 – BARRY BULK HAULAGE Grade 4, 380M

Even start.

JOFFA’S MATE checked off FANCY A BEER and became unbalanced bumping APPREHENSION and losing considerable ground on the turn out of the back straight.

LIBBY’S HERO checked off the heels of BANJO AN’ HENRY and lost ground back on to JOFFA’S MATE who fell as a result prior to turning into the front straight.

JOFFA’S MATE - underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.
