Trainer P. Smith was fined $100 under the provisions of GAR 39.3 for presenting ABANDON to race in race 2. with a weight variation outside the requirements of the Rules of Greyhound Racing.  Subsequently ABANDON was a late scratching from the race.

2 Lake Como – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.  Shifted out and bumped another runner on the turn into the front straight.  Raced wide in the front straight.

 

7 Miss Empire – Raced wide on the turn into the front straight.  Shifted in and bumped another runner on the turn into the front straight.

 

8 Who's The Muscle – Checked by another runner on the turn into the front straight.

 

 

Race 2 - GARRARDS HORSE & HOUND NOVICE 380m

 

8 King Cabang – Lost ground shortly after the start.  Underwent a post-race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

2 Heart's A Mess – Raced wide into the front straight.

 

3 Looming Lara – Raced wide into the front straight.

 

4 Stilton Mary – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

5 Hornet Hudson – Checked off another runner in the back straight.  Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the right hind toe and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

 

6 Ragin' Soldier – Checked from behind by another runner and fell on the turn out of the back straight.  Underwent a post-race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

7 Jimary Cricket – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.  Underwent a post-race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

 

Race 8 - NANCY MAYNARD BEST 8 380m

 

1 Santorini Miss – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

 

4 John Strachin – Checked off another runner in the back straight.

 

5 Early Promise – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

 

 

Race 9 - TONY PARKER GRADE 4 380m

 

2 Jimary Runabout – Slow to begin.  Raced wide into the front straight.

 

3 Scarlet's Return – Tightened for racing room in the back straight.

 

 

Race 10 - HUNNY POT NQ GRADE 5 (1) 380m

 

1 Town Tamer – Slow to begin.

 

2 Patty Talks – Slow to begin.  Bumped by another runner on the turn into the front straight.

 

4 Shake Up – Checked off another runner in the back straight.  Lost ground n the turn out of the back straight.  Underwent a post-race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.  Subsequently Stewards acting under the provisions of GAR 69A.1 stood Shake Up down from racing for a period of 28 days and the completion of a satisfactory trial for failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.

 

7 Rocket Jax – Checked across heels to race wide into the front straight.

 

10 Big Pikachu (6) – Slow to begin.  Shifted out and bumped another runner on the turn into the front straight.

 

 

Race 11 - TUCKER FERGUSON GRADE 5 (2) 380m

 

1 Marty Byrde – Bumped another runner on the turn into the front straight. 

 

2 Bogie Bandit – Improved on to heels on the turn into the front straight.

 

3 Aston Aurora – Shifted out to race wide on the turn out of the back straight.

 

4 Majestic Diva – Bumped by another runner on the turn into the front straight.

 

6 Yellow Heart – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

 

7 Just Lit – Lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.  Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained a strain to the left front triceps and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

 

8 Copper Canyon – Slow into stride as the start was affected.

1 Wild Sail – Bumped another runner on the turn into the front straight.

 

2 Astor – Very slow to begin.
