Race 1 – TAB MAIDEN 380m

 

1 Zulu Vixen – Checked off the heels of another runner approaching the first turn and lost ground.

 

2 Velocity Viola – Slow to begin.

 

4 Polar Bear Lee – Tightened for racing room shortly after the start and was checked.

 

5 Mali's Thylacine – Marginally slow to begin.

 

6 Semiyon – Marginally slow to begin. Raced wide through the first turn.

 

 

Race 2 - LOVESY & WAWA NOVICE 380m

 

1 Stressful Hope – Marginally slow to begin. Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn.

 

2 Dennis Denuto – Tightened for racing room approaching the first turn and was severely checked losing considerable ground.

 

3 Paw To Floor – Dragged down by another runner approaching the first turn and was severely checked losing considerable ground.

 

5 Run Over Freddy – Raced wide through the home turn and throughout the remainder of the race.

 

8 Glen Gavan – Marginally slow to begin.

 

 

Race 3 - TOWNSVILLE PET TAXI GRADE 5 643m

 

1 Swift Sharni – Marginally slow to begin.

 

2 Inconsequential – Commenced to weaken in the concluding stages of the race. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination that revealed no apparent abnormalities.

 

6 My Envy – Slow to begin. Raced wide through the home turn.

 

 

Race 4 - MCP RACING MIXED 4/5 380m

 

2 Aston Mireya – Marginally slow to begin.

 

4 Mali's Rocket – Bumped heavily with another runner rounding the first turn. Raced wide through the home turn.

 

6 Carrow Road – Bumped heavily with another runner rounding the first turn and was checked losing ground.

 

8 Aston Rupiah – Bumped with another runner approaching the home turn and became momentarily unbalanced.

 

9 Freeney (7) – Bumped with another runner approaching the home turn.

 

 

Race 5 - WILLIAM THOMAS GRADE 5 (1) 498m

 

2 Fat Jack – Took a few awkward strides when trying to avoid the fallen runners rounding the first turn.

 

4 Bonnie Goes Bang – Tightened for racing room shortly after the start and fell taking no further competitive part in the race. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination that revealed a near fore triceps muscle strain and was stood down from racing for 10 days.

 

7 Semper – Improved onto the heels of another runner shortly after the start and fell taking no further competitive part in the race. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination that revealed an injury to the offside wrist and was stood down from racing for 10 days.

 

8 Mali's Here Blue – Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the turn off the back straight.

 

 

Race 6 - MPL REFRIGERATION GRADE 5 (2) 498m

 

3 Jackie Chiles – Tightened for racing room rounding the first turn and was checked losing ground.

 

4 Secret Shades – Tightened for racing room rounding the first turn and was checked losing ground.

 

6 Captain Turbot – Tightened for racing room rounding the first turn and fell taking no further competitive part in the race. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination that revealed bruising to the offside ribs and was stood down from racing for 10 days.

 

9 Hoof It Hank (7) – Began to weaken shortly after the start and finished a very distant last. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination that revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards spoke to trainer’s representative Mark Partland regarding the greyhound’s performance. Acting under the provisions of GAR71, Stewards stood Hoof It Hank down from racing until the completion of a satisfactory trial for an unsatisfactory performance.

 

 

Race 7 - ALL RIG LIFTING & ENGINEERING BEST 8 380m

 

1 Diva Valentine – Checked across the heels of another runner at the top of the home straight.

 

2 Jungle Fever – Clipped on the heels by another runner rounding the first turn.

 

3 Miss Verity – Improved onto the heels of another runner rounding the first turn and was checked losing ground.

 

8 Stratford – Raced wide through the first turn and throughout the remainder of the event.

 

 

Race 8 - TOWNSVILLE YOUNG GUNS FINAL OPEN 498m

 

3 Midnight Frankie – Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn.

 

8 Fancy Kelly – Bumped heavily by another runner rounding the first turn and was checked losing ground.

 

10 Velocity Nora (4) – Tightened for racing room rounding the first turn and was severely checked losing ground.

 

 

Race 9 - BURDEKIN VET CLINIC MIXED 3/4 380m

 

3 Zipping Vin – Tightened for racing room rounding the first turn and was checked losing ground.

 

6 Dream Dancer – Tightened for racing room rounding the first turn and was checked losing ground.

 

7 Muriel Tarantino – Improved onto the heels of another runner rounding the first turn and was checked losing ground. Raced wide through the home turn.

 

8 Good Old Sam – Improved onto the heels of another runner rounding the first turn and was checked losing ground.

 

 

Race 10 - MATTHEW ASHELFORD GRADE 5 (1) 380m

 

2 On A High – Improved onto the heels of another runner rounding the first turn and was checked losing ground.

 

6 Percy's Princess – Tightened for racing room rounding the first turn and was checked.

 

 

Race 11 - MCP RACING GRADE 5 (2) 380m

 

2 Paw Baby – Slow to begin. Bumped with another runner rounding the home turn.

 

3 Sunset Bardot – Tightened for racing room approaching the first turn and was checked.

 

4 Mary Now Knows – Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn and lost considerable ground. Bumped with another runner rounding the home turn. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination that revealed no apparent abnormalities.

 

8 Mali's Whitey – Late scratching at 6:18 pm due to a weight variation.

 

 

Race 12 - GORDON ALLEN GRADE 5 (3) 380m

 

1 Petite Gingin – Very slow to begin.

 

2 Mali's Pass – Tightened for racing room rounding the first turn and was checked losing ground.
