Race 1 – TAB MAIDEN 380m

 

2 Big Ram – Very slow to begin.

 

3 Southern Plains – Forced to race wide rounding the first turn. Clipped on the heels by another runner approaching the home turn.

 

4 Wine Drinker – Slow to begin.

 

5 In The Cards – Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn and lost ground.

 

6 Sonic Blue – Tightened for racing room rounding the first turn and was checked losing ground. Bumped with another runner several times and forced to race wide through the home turn.

 

8 Pang – Tightened for racing room approaching the home turn and lost ground. Bumped with another runner several times rounding the home turn. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination that revealed no apparent abnormalities.

 

 

Race 2 - BURDEKIN VET CLINIC NOVICE 380m

 

2 Velocity Viola – Improved onto the heels of another runner rounding the first turn and was checked losing ground.

 

3 Velocity Marla – Tightened for racing room shortly after the start and lost ground.

 

7 Del Rey Princess – Tightened for racing room rounding the first turn and was severely checked losing considerable ground. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination that revealed no apparent abnormalities.

 

8 Barefoot Diva – Checked across the heels of another runner and raced wide rounding the home turn.

 

 

Race 3 – TGBOT 5PW 380m

 

1 Jimmy Corkhill – Marginally slow to begin. Checked off another runner approaching the home turn and began to weaken shortly after finishing a distant last. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination that revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards requested a secondary post-race veterinary examination that revealed an injury to the near foreleg and was stood down from racing for 10 days.

 

2 Princess Barcia – Tightened for racing room rounding the first turn and was checked losing ground.

 

6 Windaroo Tavern – Improved onto the heels of another runner approaching the first turn and was checked losing ground. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination that revealed no apparent abnormalities.

 

7 Young Rob – Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn.

 

 

Race 4 - #JCOOL AIRCONDITIONING GRADE 5 (1) 380m

 

2 Hypo Harry – Slow to begin.

 

4 Bobbie Jean – Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn.

 

 

Race 5 - JUDY OLSEN MIXED 4/5 380m

 

3 Velocity Caligo – Tightened for racing room approaching the first turn and was checked losing ground.

 

 

Race 6 - NOT BUSY KENNEL 0-3 WINS 498m

 

3 Masked Bandit – Slow to begin. Raced wide through the home turn.

 

6 Sixty Dollars – Visibly eased in the catching pen shortly after the start. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination that revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr Glen Olsen regarding the greyhound’s racing manners rounding the first turn. Subsequently, Stewards charged Sixty Dollars under the provisions of GAR69A Failing to Pursue the lure with due commitment (1st offence). The greyhound was stood down from racing for 28 days at Townsville and must complete a satisfactory trial prior to racing next. Mr G Olsen advised Stewards that he intends to retire Sixty Dollars after today’s race.

 

7 Bogie Millie – Fell in the catching pen after the race had concluded. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination that revealed no apparent abnormalities.

 

 

Race 7 - PING THE LIDS RACING MIXED 4/5 498m

 

2 Dream Dancer – Late scratching at 10:53 am due to a near hind toenail injury detected during kennelling.

 

4 Talk It Up – Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn.

 

5 Velocity Tori – Forced to race wide through the home turn.

 

7 Cryptic Diamond – Tightened for racing room shortly after the start and was checked losing ground.

 

 

Race 8 - LET'S GO RACING BEST 8 380m

 

1 Seat's Taken – Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn.

 

3 Quinn Bale – Tightened for racing room rounding the first turn and was checked losing ground.

 

4 Savage Victor – Tightened for racing room rounding the first turn and was checked losing ground. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination that revealed a laceration to the near hind leg and was stood down from racing for 10 days.

 

6 Emma Moo Moo – Forced to race wide through the first turn.

 

7 Stratford – Improved onto the heels of another runner rounding the first turn and was severely checked losing considerable ground.

 

 

Race 9 - PARKER RACING KENNELS GRADE 5 (2) 380m

 

1 Bone Collector – Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn and lost considerable ground.

 

2 Uncatchable Girl – Clipped on the heels by another runner rounding the first turn.

 

3 Frothy's De Goey – Improved onto the heels of another runner rounding the first turn and was checked losing ground.

 

6 Velocity Larni – Bumped by another runner rounding the first turn and was checked.

 

 

Race 10 - SKY RACING GRADE 5 (3) 380m

 

4 Our Dreamer – Tightened for racing room rounding the first turn and was checked losing ground.  

 

7 Dennis Denuto – Bumped with another runner several times rounding the home turn.

 

8 Roadbase Rebel – Tightened for racing room rounding the first turn and was checked losing ground. Bumped with another runner several times rounding the home turn. Turned its head to the outside in the direction of another runner several times in the home straight. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination that revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards spoke to trainer’s representative Mr Tony Parker regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight. Subsequently, Stewards charged Roadbase Rebel under the provisions of GAR69A Failing to Pursue the lure with due commitment (1st offence). The greyhound was stood down from racing for 28 days at Townsville and must complete a satisfactory trial prior to racing next.
