Race 3 - SHOWTIME LODGE @ CHURCHABLE MA5 380m

2 Just Don't Smoke – Checked and made contact with the rail in the back straight. Eased and shifted out in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Steward’s spoke to trainer Justin Clauss regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After viewing the video replay and considered submissions from the trainer and the veterinary report, Stewards invoked GAR 124 Fail to Pursue 1st offence - 28 day stand down at Townsville and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

7 Aston Mireya – Faulted in its action and gave ground rounding the home turn, trailed the field for the remainder of the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an offside foreleg injury the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days.
