General: Race 4 was declared a no race due to a malfunction causing the starting boxes to open prematurely before the lure was set in motion.

Race 1 - MAGIC CARPET CLEANING MAIDEN 380m

 

1 Deck Franky – Bumped with another runner in the back straight. Checked off another runner rounding the first turn becoming momentarily unbalanced and losing ground. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no apparent abnormalities.

 

2 Ava Supreme – Bumped with another runner in the back straight.

 

3 Looney Shrimp – Checked off another runner rounding the first turn and lost ground.

 

4 Lady Mulgrave – Tightened for racing room rounding the first turn and was checked.

 

7 Ginger Jess – Clipped on the heels by another runner rounding the first turn.

 

8 Ritza Benny – Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn.

 

 

Race 2 - GREYHOUNDS MAKE GREAT PETS NOVICE 380m

 

1 Boots On – Bumped with another runner in the back straight becoming momentarily unbalanced.

 

3 Mulgrave Miller – Bumped with another runner in the back straight.

 

4 Federal Ghost – Bumped with another runner shortly after the start. Tightened for racing room rounding the first turn and was checked.

 

6 Jingalong Lotte – Bumped with another runner shortly after the start. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards’ spoke to Trainer R. Essery regarding the racing manners of Jingalong Lotte, in particular the greyhounds’ actions on the home turn. After reviewing the available patrol footage, hearing submissions from Trainer R. Essery and acting on their own observations, Stewards were satisfied that the greyhound had not contravened any rule and declined to take any further action.

 

7 Smiling Walnut – Bumped with another runner shortly after the start.

 

 

Race 3 - TAB MA5 380m

 

1 Aston Cash – Slow to begin.

 

 

Race 4 - # JCOOL AIR CONDITIONING 0-3 WINS 498m

 

Race 4 was declared a no race due to a malfunction causing the starting boxes to open prematurely before the lure was set in motion.

 

 

Race 5 - ALL RIG LIFTING & ENGINEERING GRADE 5 (1) 380m

 

1 More Sensation – Clipped on the heels by another runner rounding the first turn and lost ground.

 

2 Lagoon Camile – Bumped with another runner shortly after the start.

 

3 Special Thunder – Checked off another runner shortly after the start and lost ground. Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn and lost ground.

 

4 Skedaddle Tommy – Checked off another runner and stumbled shortly after the start and lost considerable ground. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed an insignificant laceration to the mouth. Stewards’ spoke to Trainer R. Essery regarding the racing performance of Skedaddle Tommy. After reviewing the available patrol footage, Trainer R. Essery and Stewards were in agreeance that racing incident shortly after the start was the likely cause of the greyhound’s performance in the event. Stewards declined to take any further action.

 

5 Showtime Joe – Bumped with another runner shortly after the start.

 

 

Race 6 - BURDEKIN VET SERVICE MIXED 4/5 380m

 

1 Ponte Santangelo – Slow to begin. Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn.

 

2 Jax The Hunter – Bumped with another runner shortly after the start. Bumped with another runner rounding the home turn.

 

4 Pretty Cindy – Bumped with another runner shortly after the start. Bumped with another runner rounding the home turn.

 

6 Amarillo Slim – Clipped on the heels by another runner rounding the first turn. Raced wide rounding the home turn and throughout the home straight.

 

 

Race 7 - SKIPS TRANSPORT GRADE 4 380m

 

1 Danyo's Clint – Bumped with another runner in the back straight. Clipped on the heels by another runner rounding the home turn.

 

2 Gamblin' Ethics – Bumped with another runner in the back straight. Tightened for racing room approaching the first turn and was checked. Checked across the heels of another runner rounding the home turn.

 

3 Juliette Keats – Clipped on the heels by another runner rounding the home turn.

 

4 Drop Anchor – Bumped with another runner shortly after the start. Clipped on the heels by another runner rounding the home turn.

 

5 Balts Orson – Bumped with another runner shortly after the start. Tightened for racing room approaching the first turn and was checked. Checked across the heels of another runner rounding the home turn.

 

6 Zena Arena – Bumped with another runner shortly after the start.

 

7 Winter Skye – Checked across the heels of another runner rounding the home turn.

 

 

Race 8 - HUNNY POT NQ BEST 8 380m

 

1 Stressful Hope – Bumped with another runner shortly after the start becoming momentarily unbalanced.

 

2 Out Of Glory – Bumped with another runner approaching the first turn.

 

3 Blazing Infrared – Bumped with another runner shortly after the start.

 

4 See Me Balt – Raced wide rounding the home turn.

 

5 Magic Fever – Bumped with another runner shortly after the start. Checked across the heels of another runner in the back straight.

 

6 Panel Damage – Clipped on the heels by another runner in the back straight.

 

7 Rev Up Zeus – Bumped with another runner shortly after the start. Bumped with another runner approaching the first turn. Tightened for racing room approaching the first turn and was checked.

 

 

Race 9 - LOUNDS SEAFOOD GRADE 5 (2) 380m

 

1 Princess Waters – Improved onto the heels of another runner rounding the first turn and was severely checked and almost fell. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed an injury to the offside foreleg and was subsequently stood down from racing for a period of 28 days and must complete a satisfactory trial prior to any future nominations being accepted. This matter will be referred to the Greyhound Injury Review Panel.

 

3 Dam Slipperiest – Checked off another runner and was dragged down by another runner rounding the first turn, falling and taking no further competitive part in the event. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no apparent abnormalities.

 

5 Chasing Tomorrow – Checked by another runner rounding the first turn. Shifted out and checked another runner rounding the home turn.  

 

6 Malligan Bale – Marginally slow to begin. Checked by another runner that shifted out on the home turn. Bumped with another runner in the home straight.

 

7 Showtime Hannah – Marginally slow to begin.

 

8 Bella Sensation – Marginally slow to begin. Bumped with another runner in the home straight.

 

 

Race 10 - BELFORD KENNELS 5PW 380m

 

1 Flat Tyre – Raced wide rounding the home turn and throughout the home straight.

 

4 Counter Advance – Slow to begin. Checked off the heels of another runner approaching the first turn

 

5 Zipping Newman – Clipped on the heels by another runner approaching the first turn. Bumped with another runner rounding the home turn.

 

8 Gold Mate – Bumped with another runner rounding the home turn.
