General: The start of Race 6 was delayed for approximately 5 minutes to allow a bolt to be replaced in the lure arm after the bolt broke during the preview for Race 6 making the lure arm shift backwards and hang in a downwards position from the lure carriage.

Race 2 - PUG WASH PAINTING 0-2 WINS (2) 498m

 

3 Tony Rocket – Very slow to begin, missing the start by several lengths. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

 

Race 3 - COREY HEATH GRADE 4 380m

 

6 Come On Darcy – Fell in the catching pen after the race had concluded. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

 

Race 4 - PREH WE WIN RACING MIXED 4/5 380m

 

2 Cuban Eight – (Beaten favourite) Checked off the heels of another runner shortly after the start. Checked off heels rounding the first turn and lost ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a laceration to the near-hind foot and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 5 days.

Race 6 - SKY RACING GRADE 5 (1) 498m

Race 7 - ALL RUMOUR KENNELS GRADE 5 (2) 498m

 

2 Showtime Prissy – (Beaten favourite) Slow to begin. Raced in restricted room rounding the first turn. Didn’t run on from the tail of the field and finished in a rearwards position. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr Brad Belford regarding the greyhound’s seemingly disappointing performance. Mr Belford stated that Showtime Prissy missed the start and needs to be able to lead to win. Mr Belford also stated that the greyhound was having her first run over 498m and would benefit from the run. Mr Belford further stated that he didn’t support the runner in tonight’s race. Stewards noted Mr Belford’s comments.
