Race 1 - HARA'S HERBIE AT STUD MAIDEN (1) 380m

 

7 Explosive Balboa – Turned in the boxes and as a result came out a distant last, taking no competitive part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a minor laceration on the off-hind foot. No stand down time was given by the on-course veterinarian. Stewards spoke to trainer’s representative Mr Chris Scifleet regarding the greyhound’s racing manners at box rise. After reviewing the race footage and acting on their own observations, Stewards invoked GAR106(1) Turning in the starting boxes and advised Mr Scifleet that Explosive Balboa must trial prior to racing next.

 

Race 2 - RAMBUTAN RACING MAIDEN (2) 380m

 

No matters of concern to Stewards.

 

Race 3 - CHEAPA AUTO SPARES MAIDEN FINAL MAIDEN 380m

 

3 Beastly Princess – Contacted the running rail approaching the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

 

4 Empty Sky – Checked off heels rounding the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a laceration to the tail and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 5 days.

 

Race 4 - KEYFLO PACIFIC PTY LTD GRADE 6 (1) 380m

 

4 Martini Beach – Contacted the running rail when rounding the first turn and fell taking no further competitive part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound had sustained a fracture to its nearside radius and ulna. Due to the catastrophic nature of this injury, the greyhound was euthanised on humane grounds.

 

Race 5 - JACK LYNCH GRADE 6 (2) 380m

 

2 Ellen Rose – Commenced to lose ground and shifted outwards rounding the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the offside hip support and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 5 days.

 

Race 6 - BURDEKIN VET SERVICES 0-3 WINS (1) 498m

 

3 Classic Emgrand – Commenced to lose ground in the back straight, finishing the race tailed off last. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the nearside triceps and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 5 days.

 

Race 7 - POSTMAN'S RIDGE GREYHOUNDS 0-3 WINS (2) 498m
