General: Mr. P. Smith was reminded of his obligations regarding the Racing Queensland Dress Code.

 

Mr. K. Blanchard was reprimanded for a breach of the Racing Queensland Dress Code.

 

Following the running of race 10 stewards inspected the track and subsequently delayed races 11 and 12 to allow for club staff to perform remedial work on the racing surface. After re-assessing the racing surface stewards deemed it unsuitable and abandoned races 11 and 12.

Race 1 - AUSSIE PET & ANIMAL TRAVEL MAIDEN (1) 380m

 

No matters of concern to Stewards.

 

 

Race 2 - CHEAPA AUTO SPARES MAIDEN (2) 380m

 

5 Joan Margaret – Appeared awkward in its action in the back straight. Checked off the heels of another runner in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the right hip support, under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was stood down for 5 days.

 

 

Race 3 - SIC AIR CONDITIONING GRADE 6 (1) 380m

 

No matters of concern to Stewards.

 

 

Race 4 - ALL RIG LIFTING & ENGINEERING GRADE 6 (2) 380m

 

7 Aston Bradley – A pre-race sample was obtained.

 

 

Race 5 - GARBUTT SELF SERVICE STORE PATHWAYS FINAL 5PW 380m

 

2 Sir Panama – Faltered in its action rounding the first turn and lost ground sharply. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the right wrist and left back muscle, under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was stood down for 10 days. Trainer Ms. B. Chaffey stated that it is her intention to retire Sir Panama.

 

7 Migraine – A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the left hind pad, under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was stood down for 5 days.

 

 

Race 6 - BURDEKIN VET SERVICES 0-3 WINS (1) 498m

 

No matters of concern to Stewards.

 

 

Race 7 - WOOLER RACING 0-3 WINS (2) 498m

Race 8 - A-MECH SERVICES 5TH GRADE HEAT 1 GRADE 5 380m

Race 9 - STARLINE EXPRESS AT STUD 5TH GRADE HEAT 2 GRADE 5 380m

 

2 She’s Winning – Declared a late scratching at 9:42am pursuant to GAR 76(2) due to injury, the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days. Stewards have received a veterinary certificate.

 

 

Race 10 - SUNNY HUSSEY SMITH 5TH GRADE HEAT 3 GRADE 5 380m

 

7 Emptiness – Faltered in its action when in free running rounding the first turn, lost ground and failed to finish. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the right hindleg, under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was stood down for 14 days.
