6 Dinosaur Bones – A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the right pencil muscle, under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was stood down for 5 days. Steward’s spoke to trainer Ms. R. Essery regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After considering all available evidence, Stewards gave the greyhound the benefit of the doubt as to if it had contravened any rule.

Prior to the declaration of all clear Stewards reviewed the photo finish capture with the Judge and trainee Judge. After reviewing, the Judges changed the semaphored placings from 6-5-8-7 to 1-8-7-6 and the all clear was declared. This was determined to be a malfunction with the semaphore control box and will be referred to the race club.
