Race 1 - HARA'S HERBIE AT STUD MAIDEN (1) 380m |

1 Beastly Princess – Turned its head outwards and made muzzle contact with another runner approaching the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the right shoulder muscle, under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was stood down for 7 days. Steward’s spoke to trainer Ms. J. Newnham regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR123 Marring (2nd offence) – 28 days stand down at all tracks and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.
8 Velocity Radiate – (Beaten favourite) Checked rounding the first turn and became unbalanced. Raced wide exiting the first turn and rounding the home turn.

6 Sir Panama – Faltered in its action in the back straight. Finished tailed off. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the right pin muscle, under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was stood down for 21 days. Steward’s spoke to trainer Ms. B. Chaffey regarding the greyhound’s performance. After considering all available evidence, Stewards deemed the performance to be unsatisfactory and therefore invoked GAR129 Unsatisfactory Performance. The greyhound must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.
