Race 1 - AUSSIE PET & ANIMAL TRAVEL MAIDEN (1) 380m

 

No capture was recorded within the photo finish system. Placings were determined by the Judge using available means and approved by the Stewards prior to the all clear signal being given.

 

 

Race 2 - CHEAPA AUTO SPARES MAIDEN (2) 380m

 

4 Demister – Raced extremely wide rounding the home turn.

 

7 Blasting – (Beaten favourite) Lost ground sharply at the start. A post-race veterinary examination revealed bruising to the testicles, no stand down time was issued.

 

 

Race 3 - SIC AIR CONDITIONING MAIDEN (3) 380m

 

3 Field Pistol – Trainer Mr. D. Wolfinden was reprimanded pursuant to GAR156(f)(ii) for placing the greyhound into the incorrect starting box at the start of the event before it was re-boxed correctly.

 

7 Velocity Radiate – (Beaten favourite) Bumped shortly after the start.

 

 

Race 4 - ALL RIG LIFTING & ENGINEERING 6PW 380m

Race 5 - GARBUTT SELF SERVICE STORE GRADE 6 380m

 

4 Velocity Smolder – (Beaten favourite) Slow to begin. Raced wide through the back straight and first turn. When asked to comment on the greyhounds performance today, kennel representative Mr. K. Boody stated that being a young and inexperienced greyhound the runner was unable to secure a racing position in the field after being slow to begin. Stewards noted the explanation.

 

 

Race 6 - BURDEKIN VET SERVICES 0-3 WINS (1) 498m

 

1 Mister Hugo – Eased when racing through the catching pen. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Steward’s spoke to trainer Mr. D. Wolfinden regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR124 Fail to pursue (1st offence) – 28 days stand down at Townsville and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

 

 

Race 7 - WOOLER RACING 0-3 WINS (2) 498m

 

4 Gas It Up – A pre-race sample was obtained.

 

 

Race 8 - A-MECH SERVICES VERSATILITY FINAL GRADE 5 498m
