Race 2 - ERROL WATERS MEMORIAL 5TH GRADE HEAT 1 GRADE 5 498m |

All clear was delayed to allow Stewards to view the available replay footage in relation to the distance of the lure to the lead greyhound, after doing so Stewards were comfortable that no greyhound was effected and the all clear signal was given on the Judges semaphored numbers.

Race 3 - ERROL WATERS MEMORIAL 5TH GRADE HEAT 2 GRADE 5 498m |

2 Moustache Mick – Checked shortly after the start and conceded ground from the first turn. Finished a distance from the field. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the right elbow, under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was stood down for 10 days.

Race 4 - ERROL WATERS MEMORIAL 5TH GRADE HEAT 3 GRADE 5 498m |

|
2 Federal Mercedes – A pre-race sample was obtained. On being loaded into the starting boxes the muzzle of this runner became detached. After being alerted, the starter ordered all greyhounds removed from the boxes. All runners underwent an assessment by the on-track veterinarian and passed fit to start. The muzzle was refitted and all runners loaded without further issue. Stewards questioned attendant Ms. S. Birchfield regarding this incident, after considering all available evidence no action was taken.

Race 5 - ERROL WATERS MEMORIAL 5TH GRADE HEAT 4 GRADE 5 498m |

5 Farmor Bacardi – Slow to begin. Lost ground sharply when racing through the catching pen. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the left thigh, under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was stood down for 3 days. Stewards questioned kennel representative Mr. K. Boody regarding the greyhound’s actions in particular when racing through the catching pen. After considering all available evidence including Stewards observations the greyhound was given the benefit of the doubt if it had contravened any rule.

8 Drink Shiraz – Escaped from the handler on the way to the track after the preview had completed. Galloped a short distance before being recaptured. A pre-race veterinary examination revealed a laceration to the left hind foot, under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was stood down for 7 days and subsequently declared a late scratching with the TAB notified at 9:53pm.
