Stewards delayed the All Clear to review the start of the race to determine if any greyhound’s chances were materially prejudiced by the delayed drive of the lure. After carefully reviewing all available replay angles and interviewing the lure driver, Stewards established the activation of the lure was delayed by the lure driver after the starter had signalled for the start of the race as required under the provisions of GAR 105(10)(e). After interviewing all trainers with greyhounds engaged in the event and acting on their own observations, Stewards were satisfied to the requisite degree that the delay in starting the driving of the lure had no material effect on any greyhound at the start of the event and therefore declared All Clear on the judges’ semaphored numbers. The Stewards have referred the circumstances of this matter to the Chief Steward – Greyhounds for his consideration and necessary action.
