General: With the temperature forecasted to reach 35 degrees Celsius today, this race meeting was run in accordance with the Caring for Racing Animals in Extreme Heat policy.

Race 1 - ALL RIG LIFTING & ENGINEERING MAIDEN (1) 380m

 

7 Brugal House – Conceded ground from the first turn. Finished tailed off. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the left wrist and a suspected ligament injury to the right hind leg, under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was stood down for 14 days. Stewards questioned Ms. B. Chaffey regarding the greyhound’s performance today. Ms. Chaffey stated it is her intention to give the greyhound a spell and have it checked over before making a decision on the greyhound’s future. Ms. Chaffey was advised that if anything becomes apparent with the greyhound in the coming days to report back to the Stewards.

 

 

Race 2 - BELFORD KENNELS MAIDEN (2) 380m

Race 3 - BURDEKIN VETERINARY SERVICES MAIDEN FINAL MAIDEN 380m

 

No matters of concern to Stewards.

 

 

Race 4 - BETNATION.COM.AU GRADE 6 (1) 380m

 

No matters of concern to Stewards.

 

 

Race 5 - GLEN HARRIS GRADE 6 (2) 380m

 

6 Mango Express – A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. K. Wheeler regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the finishing line. After considering all available evidence, the greyhound was given the benefit of the doubt if it had contravened any rule.

 

 

Race 6 - BET NATION 5TH GRADE HEAT 1 GRADE 5 380m

 

5 Broke Bank Brian – Fell in the catching pen at the conclusion of the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a split webbing to the left hind, under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was stood down for 14 days.

 

8 Balt’s Ordeal – Fell in the catching pen at the conclusion of the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed abrasions to the left fore leg and right hind leg, under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was stood down for 10 days.

 

 

Race 7 - AUSSIE PET & ANIMAL TRAVEL 5TH GRADE HEAT 2 GRADE 5 380m

 

No matters of concern to Stewards.

 

 

Race 8 - BET NATION SAME RACE MULTI 5TH GRADE HEAT 3 GRADE 5 380m

 

2 Rumble Tempest – (Beaten favourite) Checked in the back straight. Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn. Checked around the heels of another runner entering the home straight.

 

 

Race 9 - ESSERY RACING MA5 380m

Race 10 - GET ON A GOOD THING WITH BET NATION PATHWAYS FINAL 5PW 380m

 

No matters of concern to Stewards.

 

 

Race 11 – HARA'S HERBIE AT STUD 5TH GRADE HEAT 4 GRADE 5 380m

 

1 Stormy Rose – Went up with the lids at box rise.

 

2 Arka Chief – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination which revealed an abrasion to the tail, the greyhound was passed fit to compete in the event.

 

6 Smoking Ace – Checked off the heels of another runner and was dragged down rounding the first turn. Tired over the concluding stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the neck, under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was stood down for 5 days.

 

 

Race 12 - DOWNLOAD THE BET NATION APP 5TH GRADE HEAT 5 GRADE 5 380m

 

6 Different Here – Late scratching at 8:20am pursuant to GAR 76(2) due to injury, the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nominations will be accepted.
