Race 1 – PARTY'S CREEK KENNELS MAIDEN (1) 380m

 

5 Blitzen Hazel Turned its head out taking its attention away from the lure on several occasions passing the home straight.

 

Blitzen Hazel underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a near fore shoulder injury, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Hayley Wooler, regarding the greyhounds’ racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125(a), failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury Blitzen Hazel was found in breach and must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 127(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

 

 

6 Elegant Dancer A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent injury.

 

Race 2 – BET NATION TOWNSVILLE MAIDEN (2) 380m

 

3 Nikki’s Regret Severely checked entering the turn out of the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent injury.

 

Race 3 – KEYFLO PACIFIC PTY LTD GRADE 6 (1) 380m

 

4 Hollywood Shadow Severely checked and fell entering the turn out of the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent injury.

 

6 Warragul Ghost Severely checked and fell entering the turn out of the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a near side elbow injury; 3 days stand down from racing.

 

Race 4 – BURDEKIN VET SERVICES GRADE 6 (2) 380m

Race 5 – GET ON A GOOD THING WITH BET NATION 0-3 WINS 498m

2 Sugar Hit Lenny Late scratching, TAB 9.45am GAR 92(2) off side shoulder injury; 7 days stand down from racing.

 

4 Project Alice Late Scratching TAB 2.30pm, Project Alice was found to be in season and was scratched GAR 92(2) 28 days stand down from racing.  

 

8 Major Ando Collapsed shortly after the start. Took no further part in the race.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed an intractable spinal injury. After examination Major Ando was humanely euthanised. Stewards ordered a necropsy under the provisions of GAR 43(1).
