General: During the preview for race 8 the lure system malfunctioned, subsequently Stewards ordered a delay to allow repair work and testing to be conducted. Once satisfied, race 8 was rescheduled for 1:53pm
Prior to the running of race 10, Stewards ordered all races be put back one race time slot to allow for the passing of a heavy shower and to allow the track to be prepared for the upcoming event. |

Race 1 – AUSSIE PET & ANIMAL TRAVEL MAIDEN (1) 380m |

|
4 Safari Dawn – Late scratching at 8:45am on 05/03/2025 pursuant to GAR 76(2) with Stewards permission (no stand down) due to extreme weather making travel to the race meeting unsafe.
8 Tobias Ivy – A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the nearside elbow, under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was stood down for 7 days. Stewards questioned kennel representative Mr. P. Smith regarding the greyhound’s actions rounding the home turn. After considering all available evidence, the greyhound was given the benefit of the doubt if it had contravened any rule.

1 Federal Saki – (Beaten favourite) Checked across the heels of another runner rounding the first turn. Hampered rounding the home turn.
3 Split Minds – A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
5 Ordinary – Fell in the catching pen at the conclusion of the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

Race 4 – BURDEKIN VET SERVICES GRADE 6 (2) 380m |

Race 5 – BET NATION MA5 380m |
|
|
|
1 Hidden Fury – Contacted the inside running rail rounding the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
4 George Jetson – Faltered in its action shortly after the start. Failed to take any competitive part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the offside foreleg, under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was stood down for 7 days.
8 Drink Tia – Conceded ground from the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Trainer Ms. B. Chaffey reported to Stewards on Saturday 07/03/2026 that Drink Tia had swelling in the offside wrist and would seek further veterinary treatment.

6 Hara’s Suzuki – Late scratching at 10:58am pursuant to GAR 92(2) when the greyhound was found to have a laceration to the left hind paw during kennelling, the greyhound has been stood down for 7 days.
7 Valeena Boy – Checked rounding the first turn and lost ground. Appeared awkward in its action in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

Race 7 - DON HOBSON PLUMBING GRADE 5 (2) 380m |
|

2 Hara’s Holly – Checked rounding the first turn and fell. Took no further competitive part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the offside hind leg, under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was stood down for 90 days and must complete a satisfactory Stewards trial prior to racing next.
5 Three Hearts – Appeared to ease and turn its head outwards towards another runner in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed injuries to both wrists, under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was stood down for 7 days. Steward’s spoke to trainer Ms. R. Essery regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR 125 Fail to pursue by reason of injury – 7 days stand down at Townsville and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.
