4 Move Lightly – Made contact with the inside running rail rounding the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards spoke to trainer Ms. B. Chaffey and handler for the event Ms. T. Connor regarding the boxing of Move Lightly. After determining Ms Connor had not boxed the greyhound before and it is usually handled by another handler due to its behaviour, Stewards directed that the greyhound be boxed by the trainer in future.

4 Hara’s Harper – Dragged down by another runner rounding the second turn and lost considerable ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed abrasions to the offside foreleg and hindleg, under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was stood down for 3 days.
6 Federal Tommy – Checked rounding the first turn. Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the second turn and lost considerable ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

7 Hollywood Rocket – Turned its head outwards towards another runner and shifted ground towards that runner when rounding the home turn. Steward’s spoke to trainer Mr. R. Rudall regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR 124 Fail to pursue (1st offence) – 28 days stand down at Townsville and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

Race 12 - PLACE A SRM WITH BET NATION GRADE 5 (3) 380m |

5 Set Of Sisters – Faltered in its action in the back straight and lost considerable ground. Finished tailed off. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the offside triceps, under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was stood down for 21 days.
