Race 1 – CHEAPA AUTO SPARES MAIDEN 380m

 

No matters of concern to Stewards.

 

 

Race 2 – BET NATION TOWNSVILLE MAIDEN FINAL MAIDEN 380m

 

10 Katy Wanted (4) – Made contact with the inside running rail rounding the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

 

 

Race 3 – BURDEKIN VET SERVICES GRADE 6 380m

 

8 Harkle Road – Conceded ground in the back straight and pulled up rounding the first turn, failing to complete the course. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the offside hind leg, under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was stood down for 10 days. Steward’s spoke to trainer Ms. H. Wooler regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR 125 Fail to pursue by reason of injury – 10 days stand down at Townsville and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

 

 

Race 4 – GET ON A GOOD THING WITH BET NATION 0-3 WINS 498m

Race 5 – BOOTHS RURAL GRADE 5 (1) 380m

 

2 Mad Attitude – Dragged down rounding the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed bruising to the nearside hind leg, under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was stood down for 3 days.

 

 

Race 6 - KAREN OLSEN GRADE 5 (2) 380m

 

No matters of concern to Stewards.

 

 

Race 7 - BET NATION GRADE 4 380m

 

3 Verruckt – Late scratching at 4:25pm pursuant to GAR 76(2) due to illness – scours, the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nominations will be accepted.

 

 

Race 8 - PLACE A SRM WITH BET NATION MIXED 3/4 380m

 

3 Black Falcon – Made contact with the inside running rail rounding the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

 

10 Fuel The Fire (7) – Late scratching at 4:25pm pursuant to GAR 92(2) when the greyhound was found to have an offside hind leg injury during kennelling, the greyhound has been stood down for 7 days.

 

 

Race 9 - BARRY & SHARON BURNETT 1-3 WINS HEAT 1 1-3 WINS 380m

 

8 Reckless Ruby – Dislodged the muzzle on jumping.

 

 

Race 10 - BETNATION.COM.AU 1-3 WINS HEAT 2 1-3 WINS 380m

Race 11 - OCEAN WORLD SEAFOOD CAIRNS GRADE 5 (3) 380m

 

4 Blue Marine – Made contact with the inside running rail rounding the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a minor spike wound to the offside fore paw, no stand down time issued.
