1 Young Miss Karen – Slow to begin and pulled up in the back straight taking no further competitive part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the offside hindlimb and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 5 days. Steward’s spoke to trainer R.Lound regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR 125 Failing to pursue by reason of injury – 5 days stand down and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.
6 Hello Sailer – Bumped with another runner entering the first turn and ran the remainder of the event with a dislodged muzzle. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. |

4 Rose Belle – Tightened and checked leaving the back straight. Took an awkward stride rounding the first turn and commenced to give ground appearing injured. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the offside hindlimb and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down from racing for 90 days and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.
