Race 1 – IN MEMORY OF JOE OLSEN MAIDEN HEAT 1 MAIDEN 380m |

4 Oklahoma – Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn and lost ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a minor spike wound to the nearside fore paw, no stand down time was issued.
5 Miss Emma May – Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn and lost ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
6 Dashing Damiro – Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. S. Dodd regarding the improved performance of the greyhound. Mr Dodd stated that he believed the greyhound would perform well today based on recent trials, adding that despite having sustained interference in previous races he has always had confidence in the greyhound’s ability. Mr. Dodd advised he placed a minor wager on the greyhound today. Stewards noted the explanation.

1 Miss Brimley – (Beaten favourite) Checked in the back straight and became unbalanced.
6 Puddin’ Time – Made contact with the inside running rail rounding the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a split webbing to the offside hind paw, under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was stood down for 3 days.

5 Flying In Style – Began to concede ground in the back straight. Finished tailed off. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the offside hind paw, under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was stood down for 28 days and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to future nominations being accepted.
7 Hara’s Scarlet – Checked rounding the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the offside wrist, under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was stood down for 7 days.
