Race 1 – BELFORD KENNELS MIXED 3/4 380m |

|
2 Jimmy Roo – Was observed to be displaying signs of lameness post-race. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the offside triceps, under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was stood down for 28 days and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to future nominations being accepted. Trainer Mr. H. Ardle stated it is his intention to retire Jimmy Roo.

Race 2 – BET NATION TOWNSVILLE YOUNG GUNS HEAT 1 OPEN 380m |
|
|
|
1 No Power – Made contact with the inside running rail rounding the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an abrasion to the offside hind paw, no stand down time was issued.
7 White Car – Turned in the starting boxes and jumped a significant distance behind the rest of the field. Took no competitive part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards invoked GAR 106(1) - turned in the boxes, the greyhound must complete a satisfactory trial prior to racing next.

2 Gidgee Bug – A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained.

4 Emgrand Flash – Dragged down rounding the first turn and lost ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

Race 6 - TIM MITCHELL GRADE 5 (2) 498m |
|
|
|
4 Ben Tango – Faltered in its action exiting the first turn and lost considerable ground during the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the offside back muscle, under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was stood down for 7 days.
7 Enzola –Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. H. Ardle regarding the improved performance of Enzola. Mr. Ardle stated he was surprised with the greyhound’s performance tonight, noting that the greyhound has had limited starts over the 498m distance but has been racing consistently over the 380m. Adding that the greyhound benefited from jumping well and obtaining a clear run with no interference. Mr Ardle stated that he did not support the runner in wagering.

4 Tommy’s Whiskey – Dragged down rounding the first turn and lost ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

|
7 On Holidays – Performed below market expectations. Appeared awkward in its action rounding the first turn and the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards directed trainer Mr. B. Belford to report back to stewards should any abnormalities become apparent in the coming days. Mr Belford reported to stewards that after being checked over, On Holidays was showing soreness in the hip and stated that it is his intention to spell the greyhound.
