Race 1 – BET NATION SAME RACE MULTI MAIDEN HEAT 1 MAIDEN 380m

Race 2 – ESSERY RACING MAIDEN HEAT 2 MAIDEN 380m

No apparent reportable incidents.

Race 3 – TIM MITCHELL MAIDEN HEAT 3 MAIDEN 380m

7 Sally Said – Appeared awkward in its action rounding the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a torn nail and bruising to the offside hind paw, under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was stood down for 5 days.

Race 4 – BET NATION GRADE 6 (1) 380m

1 Big Papa Party – Checked off the heels of another runner in the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed split webbing and a pad laceration to the offside hind, under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was stood down for 14 days.

Race 5 – T.G.B.O.T.A GRADE 6 (2) 380m

1 Sand Express – Checked by the fallen runner and lost ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed abrasions to the hind legs, no stand down time was issued.

3 Striker Star – Turned its head outwards towards another runner and shifted ground towards that runner exiting the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed split webbing to the nearside fore paw, under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was stood down for 7 days. Steward’s spoke to trainer’s representative Mr R. Rudall regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR 125 Fail to pursue by reason of injury – 7 day stand down at Townsville and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

4 Party Don’t Stop – Checked rounding the first turn and checked exiting the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

5 Secret Warrior – Checked by the fallen runner and lost ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a spike wound to the offside fore paw, under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was stood down for 7 days.

6 Pierre D’Arcy – Checked rounding the first turn and fell. Took no further competitive part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed bruising to the back, under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was stood down for 7 days.

Race 6 - BURDEKIN VET SERVICES VERSATILITY HEAT 1 GRADE 5 380m

5 Hara’s Meryl – Made contact with the inside running rail rounding the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an abrasion to the face, no stand down time was issued.  

Race 7 - GET ON A GOOD THING WITH BET NATION VERSATILITY HEAT 2 GRADE 5 380m

No apparent reportable incidents.

Race 8 - GRANNY GARROW GRADE 5 (1) 380m

2 Opal Emgrand – Checked shortly after the start. Conceded ground entering and rounding the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the offside wrist, under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was stood down for 28 days and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to future nominations being accepted.

Race 9 - A MECH SERVICES GRADE 5 (2) 380m

3 Rui’s Rocket – Lost ground entering the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the offside wrist, under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was stood down for 7 days.

Race 10 - DOWNLOAD THE BET NATION APP GRADE 5 (3) 380m

1 Ouch My Franky – Lost ground rounding the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the offside wrist, under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was stood down for 90 days and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to future nominations being accepted.

Race 11 - AUSSIE PET & ANIMAL TRAVEL GRADE 5 (4) 380m

4 Hippy – Late scratching at 11:17am pursuant to GAR 92(2) when the greyhound was found to have split webbing to the nearside fore paw during kennelling, the greyhound has been stood down for 7 days.

Race 12 - BET NATION TOWNSVILLE MA5 380m

2 Outlaw Billy – Made contact with the inside running rail rounding the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
