8 Villain Of Fire – Appeared to turn its head inwards towards another runner in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards spoke to trainer Ms. B. Chaffey regarding the greyhounds racing manners rounding the home turn and in the home straight. After considering all available evidence, the greyhound was given the benefit of the doubt if it had contravened any rule.

3 Ashy Bear – Dragged down another runner rounding the first turn and was checked. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
6 Lemon Slice – Tightened between runners rounding the first turn and then dragged down and fell. Failed to finish. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the offside wrist, under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was stood down for 90 days and must complete a satisfactory stewards’ trial prior to future nominations being accepted.
