General: Out of competition urine and hair samples were obtained from the following greyhounds during the week – Ground Control, Enzola, Zipping Lee, Tempting Dash, Takeover Target, Rio Ragnar, Atomic Prince, Wicket, Penny Calido & Smooth Blast.

3 Different Here – Late scratching at 6:24pm pursuant to GAR 92(2) when the greyhound was found to have a laceration to the offside fore leg during kennelling, the greyhound has been stood down for 7 days.
4 Miss Rosalea – Dragged down exiting the first turn. Appeared awkward in its action passing the winning post. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
5 Kasey’s Way – A pre-race sample was obtained.

3 Pilton View – (Beaten favourite) Marginally slow to begin. Shifted wide in the home straight and raced wide rounding the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the offside triceps, a stand down period of 7 days was issued.

3 Rio Ragnar – Appeared to turn its head inwards towards another runner in the home straight. Steward’s spoke to trainer Mr. B. Belford regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR 124 Fail to pursue (2nd offence) – 28 days stand down at all tracks and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.
