Began awkwardly. Inconvenienced and steadied approaching the 300m to avoid SALENTO. A post race veterinary examination revealed a laceration to the inside of the near hind hock.

Near the 300m became awkward in its action, collapsed and fell making heavy contact with the inside running rail. A post race veterinary examination of the gelding revealed the gelding was deceased. Post race blood and urine samples were taken on course before the gelding was transported to the Gatton University Hospital for a post mortem to be undertaken.
