Proved very reluctant to proceed to the barriers. Trainer M. Costa was advised that the mare would be required to officially trial prior to racing again. Following this race, Stewards cautioned Jockey R. Plumb regarding his actions whilst attempting to encourage the mare to proceed to the barriers.

When questioned regarding the performance, Jockey D. Griffin stated that after obtaining cover in the early stages, the gelding was soon after under pressure and was somewhat disappointing. He added that the gelding may be better suited on softer surfaces and will appreciate a step-up in distance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
