When questioned regarding the performance, Apprentice J Lloyd stated from the wide barrier and after being slow to begin, he settled further back than anticipated. He added that the colt failed to travel throughout and when placed under pressure in the home straight, FRISCO’S IMAGINE failed to respond to his urgings and as a result, he elected to ease the colt down over the concluding stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer A Mead advised stewards that FRISCO’S IMAGE will now be spelled and gelded.
