Steward Comment

Made the 1500 metres crossing awkwardly. When asked to comment rider B Nothdurft explained he was issued no specific instructions and that after beginning well and showing early speed he elected to allow HEAD UP HIGH to press forward and lead the event.

Raced three wide in the early stages. SLAUGHTER BAY – When asked to comment on tactics adopted in the middle stages apprentice M Castle stated instructions were to allow the gelding to settle in a forward position and if the opportunity presented to improve and possibly lead the event if circumstances permit. Apprentice Castle added near the 1300 metres she shifted wider on the track when the pace eased in an attempt to improve however was caught racing three wide for the remainder of the event.
