Jockey J. Oliver reported that his mount was reluctant to stretch out in the early stages, and therefore settled further back in the field than anticipated. He added that the mare felt short in its action on returning to scale. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the horse to be exhibiting an abnormal respiratory noise. Trainer B. Currie advised that in light of the performance, it is now his intention for the horse to leave his stable. Nevertheless, Mr. Currie was advised that the mare will require a vet. clearance, including the results of an endoscopic exam prior to its next start.
