Race 1: DRINKWISE MAIDEN HANDICAP 1650 M
 
DISCOVER – Began awkwardly and jumped out bumping FORBIDDEN APPLE.
 
HATASU – Began awkwardly. Over-raced in early and middle stages when racing wide without cover. Near the 200m brushed by FORBIDDEN APPLE which shifted out to improve. Lost near fore plate in running.
 
MIRACLE SEVEN – Leaving the 200m bumped with TRUST A KITTY.
 
DREAM PASSAGE – Had some difficulty obtaining clear running between the 300m until inside the 100m.
 
FORBIDDEN APPLE – Bumped at the start. Brushed HATASU when shifting out to improve near 200m.
 
COOL PROPHET – After being slow to begin then jumped awayawkwardly and lost ground.
 
TRUST A KITTY – Leaving the 200m bumped with MIRACLE SEVEN. Raced wide with cover for the majority. Lost off hind plate in running.
 
Following this event, the track was upgraded to a Soft 5.
 
 
Race 2: LADBROKES YARD COMMENTS QTIS THREE-YEAR-OLD HANDICAP 1650 M
 
RINGER'S REWARD – Jumped in at the start and bumped ON THE VEUVE.
 
ICHIBAN – Laid out rounding the home turn.
 
ON THE VEUVE – Bumped at the start.
 
THE AUTHOR – Began awkwardly. Lost off hind plate in running.
 
TYPHOON TIP – Crowded on jumping and lost ground.
 
SHOWDRA – Momentarily held up rounding the home turn. Laid in approaching the 200m.
 
 
Race 3: STRADBROKE SEASON ON SALE NOW QTIS THREE-YEAR-OLD COLTS & GELDINGS MAIDEN PLATE          1200 M
 
ABOUT TO EXPLODE – Slow to begin.Near the 700m, when the pace steadied, became awkwardly placed on the heels of TAKIN’HELL, shifted out abruptly resulting rider J Orman becoming unbalanced and lost ground.
 
ADRANOS – Began awkwardly. Raced wide for the majority.
 
HOTCHI – Slow to begin. Near the 700m, when the pace steadied, improved onto the heels of SOUTH SEA, and had to be restrained. Raced greenly in the early stages. Trainer L Gough was advised a warning would be placed on the racing manners of the gelding.
 
PIQUET'S MISSION – Bumped at start. Raced wide for the majority.
 
SOUTH SEA – Raced greenly under pressure in the home straight.
 
TAKIN'HELL – Jumped out at the start and bumped HOTCHI. Approaching the 900m momentarily steadied from the heels of OFFICE POLITICS which shifted in before being corrected by its rider. Near the 700m, when the pace steadied, checked after improving onto the heels of OFFICE POLITICS. Raced keenly in the early stages.
 
TALTARNI FIELDS – Jumped in at the start and bumped PIQUET’S MISSION. Laid in under pressure in the home straight and approaching the winning post shifted in and away from SOUTH SEA.
 
BOOM IN THE DARK – Laid out under pressure in the home straight.
 
 
Race 4: CASCADE QTIS THREE-YEAR-OLD FILLIES MAIDEN PLATE 1200 M
 
The start of this event was delayed when both MARGOT'S BULLSEYE and READY AND LUCKY underwent veterinary examinations after becoming fractious into the barriers. The start was further delayed when remedial work was undertaken when the inside running rail near the 1500m crossing became detached.  
 
GREY IMPACT – Began awkwardly. Over-raced in the middle stages.
 
INSPIRATIONAL DIVA – Jumped out at the start and bumped CRYPTIC SOUND.Approaching the home turn laid out taking KELANOA wider on the track.
 
KAMARIYA – Crowded for room near 800m when MARGOT’S BULLSEYE shifted in. M Harley, rider of MARGOT’S BULLSEYE, was reprimanded for careless riding under AR131(a) in this incident. Raced greenly and laid in during the early stages of the home straight.
 
KELANOA – Taken wider on track approaching the home turn.
 
MARGOT'S BULLSEYE – After being loaded into the barriers, became fractious, was removed, underwent a veterinary examination, and was cleared to start.
 
KELLY'S LANDING – Began very awkwardly and lost ground. Made the home turn awkwardly. Raced greenly for the majority of the event. Trainer B Gray was advised a warning would be placed on the filly’s racing manners.
 
READY AND LUCKY – After being loaded into the barriers, became fractious, was removed, underwent a veterinary examination, and was cleared to start.
 
RIP UP RUBY – Approaching the 900m crowded for room when READY AND LUCKY shifted in when not fully clear. A Jones, rider of READY AND LUCKY, was reprimanded for careless riding under AR131(a) in this incident.
 
TOP ACT – Jumped out at the start and bumped heavily with ROSEFINCH which lost ground.
 
VERY SWISH – Approaching the 100m improved onto heels and shifted wider on the track. 
 
CRYPTIC SOUND – Bumped on jumping and lost ground. Near the 250m obliged to shift wider on the track to secure clear running. 
 
ROSEFINCH – Checked at the start and lost ground.
 
 
Race 5: SKY RACING CLASS 1 PLATE 1110 M
 
A LOT OF BOOTY – Near the 100m momentarily steadied from the heels of TELLEZ which shifted in. J Bayliss, rider of TELLEZ, was advised to exercise greater care in similar circumstances.
 
HURTS SO GOOD – When over-racing taken wider on the track by OUTWITTED. Leaving the 100m laid in under pressure.
 
LUBRICATION – Raced wide for the majority. When asked to comment, rider J Orman stated the horse may have been disadvantaged by the wide barrier however was disappointing when placed under pressure in the home straight.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
 
BOOMING LAD – Hampered shortly after the start. Laid in under pressure in the home straight. Raced wide for the majority.
 
OUTWITTED – Shifted out shortly after the start hampering BOOMING LAD. Raced wide for the majority.
 
TELLEZ – Jumped in at the start and bumped A LOT OF BOOTY. Raced keenly in the early stages. Laid in under pressure over final 100m.
 
POLARISING – Jumped in at the start.
 
I STOLE IT – Near 100m momentarily steadied from the heels of HURTS SO GOOD which laid in. Raced wide for the majority.
 
TWILIGHT ROCK – Crowded between runners at the start and lost ground. Improved onto heels near the 100m and as a consequence went to line unable to be fully tested by its rider.
 
LADY CHARTWELL – Jumped out at the start.
 
 
Race 6: MULLINS LAWYERS BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP (4YO ONLY QTIS BONUSES APPLICABLE) 1650 M
 
FIVE CROWNS – Raced wide for the majority.When asked to comment rider B Wheeler stated the horse did not feel comfortable in its action from the 600m and for this reason he desisted from pressuring FIVE CROWNS in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Stable representative Mr M Eggleston advised he will report back any condition which may come to light in the coming days.
 
FORTIFIED – From the wide barrier restrained shortly after the start to a rearward position closer to the rails.
 
MOTION LEGEND – Change of tactics, to be ridden more forward if circumstances permit. Ridden accordingly.
 
ALDEENAARY – From the wide barrier restrained shortly after the start to a rearward position closer to the rails.
 
LADY LE DA – Bumped near the 500m. Raced wide for the majority.When asked to comment on the performance rider J Byrne advised after being caught wide and bumped approaching the home turn LADY LE DA did not finish the race off from that point. 
 
DECEMBER DIAMOND – Approaching the 300m momentarily eased when awkwardly placed at the heels of PRICKJLY POP.
 
ASWAAT – Shifted out under pressure over final 100m.
 
PRICKLY POPPY – A post-race veterinary examination revealedthe horse to be displaying symptoms of mild heat stress.
 
SIMPLY REFUSE – Slow to begin. Raced in restricted room between LADY LE DA and SIMPLY REFUSE leaving the 500m.
 
Following this event, the track was upgraded to a Good 4.
 
 
Race 7: BECOME A BRC MEMBER CLASS 2 PLATE 1350 M
 
HOUSTON ROCKET – Checked at the start.
 
SKYLON – Jumped out at the start and hampered VALENTION ROC. Near 150m checked between VALENTION ROC and BRAVELY which shifted out and away from TIP OF THE SPEAR which laid out marginally at that point. Raced wide throughout.
 
TANGO FAME – Raced keenly in the middle stages.
 
VALANTINO ROC – Hampered at the start. Raced keenly in the middle stages. Bumped near the 150m.
 
VEANDECHANCE – Began awkwardly.
 
MISS JOELENE – Shifted out abruptly at the start and checked HOUSTON ROCKET. Raced keenly in the middle stages.
 
NEGATION – From the wide barrier restrained shortly after the start to a rearward position closer to the rails.
 
 
 
Race 8: XXXX GOLD OPEN HANDICAP 1200 M
 
The start of this event was delayed when the bridle of ASTERO was refitted.
 
NEVER NO MORE – Improved onto heels passing 100m and as a result went to line unable to be fully tested by its rider.
 
ASTERO – On arrival at the barriers the bridle on the horse was refitted, underwent a veterinary examination, and was cleared to start. Trainer M Smith was reminded of his obligation to ensure gear is correctly adjusted in similar circumstances. Slow to begin.
 
MISHANI SNIPER – Raced keenly in the early stages.
 
NED'S GULLY – Raced keenly in the early stages and as a consequence near the 800m was steadied from the heels AT WITZ ENDS. Near 700m shifted in momentarily and tightened MISHANI SNIPER. Laid in rounding the home turn. Raced wide for the majority.
 
NORTHERN EXPRESS – Raced wide for the majority.
 
AT WITZ END – Raced wide for the majority.
 
CHARGE ON – Eased down by its rider in the home straight.A post-race veterinary examination revealed the horse to have bled from both nostrils for the second time. As such CHARGE ON will now incur a lifetime ban from racing under AR79(6). 
 
TARA JASMINE – Raced wide for the majority.
 
 
Race 9: LADBROKES COMMUNITIES FILLIES & MARES BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP 1200 M
 
TYPHOON TAAVI – Inclined to lay in over the final 200m obliging its rider to stop riding and straighten on a number of occasions.
 
I AM TAKINGTHELOT – Slow to begin.
 
EXTESSIVE – Following the disappointing performance trainers representative Mr M Eggleston advised the horse would now be sent for a spell.
 
COASTAL RAIDER – Raced wide for the majority.
 
PLATINUM LIES – Declared a late scratching at 8:22am on veterinary advice after displaying a nasal discharge. Trainer N McCall was advised the horse would require a veterinary clearance prior to racing again.
 
LI'L WONDER – Restrained at the start and shifted across heels to obtain a position closer to the rails.
 
JEALOUS – Restrained at the start and shifted across heels to obtain a position closer to the rails.
 
 
 
Race 10: SOUTHS SPORTS CLUB COLTS, GELDINGS & ENTIRES BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP 1200 M
 
POLE POSITION - Crowded at the start and lost ground. Rider M Potgieter could offer no explanation for the disappointing performance.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed symptoms of mild heat stress.
 
BAD EDUCATION – Jumped in at the start crowding a number of runners to the inside. Raced wide in the early and middle stages.
 
BILLIONAIR BABY – Approaching 100m shifted out and bumped MOUNT FUJI.
 
PORKY – From the wide barrier restrained shortly after the start to a rearward position closer to the rails.
 
CHILLIWACK – Held up for clear running between the 300m and 150m.
 
SCRIPT WRITER – Crowded at the start and lost ground. Raced keenly in the middle stages. Held up for clear running in the home straight and went to line unable to be fully tested by its rider.
 
MOUNT FUJI – Crowded at the start and lost ground. Laid in in the home straight. Approaching the 150m raced in restricted room between MOUNT FUJI and BAD EDUCATION. Bumped near the 100m.
 
HELL AND BACK – Trainer T Gollan was reprimanded pursuant to LR36(6)(a) for failing to scratch a dual accepter by the required time.
 
LORD LUKER – Slow to begin.
 
BRASCO – Momentarily crowded for room near the 600m when BAD EDUCATION shifted in. Approaching the winning post raced in raced restricted room to the inside of BAD EDUCATION.
